Official World Cup 1970 Movie - The World at their feet

The 1970 World Cup is now remembered as a classic - but, as usual, the tournament was preceded by disputes over the organisation of the event. This World Cup was the first one to be televised in colour.

However, to fit into the European viewing schedules, some matches kicked off at noon. This was an unpopular decision with many players and managers because of the intense heat in Mexico at that time of day.

Part 1 features group matches Mexico-Soviet Union 0-0, Uruguay-Israel 2-0, England-Romania 1-0, Peru-Bulgaria 3-2 and Italy-Sweden 1-0.

Part two features group matches Brazil-Czechoslovakia 4-1, West Germany-Morocco 2-1, Russia-Belgium 4-1, Peru-Morocco 3-0, Mexico-El Salvador 4-0, Sweden-Israel 1-1, Brazil-England 1-0, West Germany-Bulgaria 5-2, Uruguay-Sweden 0-1, Brazil-Romania 3-2 and West Germany-Peru 3-1.

Part three features group match Mexico-Belgium 1-0, quarterfinals Soviet Union-Uruguay 0-1, Brazil-Peru 4-2, Mexico-Italy 1-4, West Germany-England 3-2, semifinals Brazil-Uruguay 3-1, Italy-West Germany 4-3 + match for the third spot Uruguay-West Germany 0-1.

Part 4 Features the final Brazil-Italy 4-1.
